App purpose
What Smart Hub TV does
The purpose of Smart Hub TV is to let Apple TV users connect to their own servers and cloud storage accounts, including Google Drive, and stream their personal media files on their television.
Smart Hub TV does not host, distribute, or resell audiovisual content. All files remain in the user's own server, NAS, or cloud account. The app acts as a client that authenticates on behalf of the user and plays back files the user chooses to access.
Google user data
How Smart Hub TV uses Google user data
Smart Hub TV integrates with Google Drive via OAuth 2.0 so users can browse their own Drive folders and stream selected personal media files to Apple TV. Google Drive access is read-only and is used only for the features requested by the user.
